Roger Campbell - Clarinet/Leader

Under the tutelage of Joe Lukasik and Ken Peplowski, Roger has developed an extraordinary reputation for his superb Benny Goodman style. In 1988, he was the first winner of the Danny Stevenson Memorial Scholarship. He has appeared with numerous popular jazz bands, including the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, the Climax Jazz Band, the Queen City Jazz Band, and the Pearl Street Jazz Band. He has shared the stage with Ken Walker, Dr. Michel White, Steve Yocum, Bob Havens, Bob French, Joel Simpson, Duke Heitger, Lannie Garrett, Gordon Webster, and many other jazz greats. His career includes performances at dozens of jazz festivals throughout the US and Europe including Sacramento, Medford, Clearwater, Sun Valley, Davenport, Madison, Milwaukee, Scottsdale, and Munich. Roger is an accomplished arranger, composer, and band leader having led groups for over 20 years.
